Deterministic AST Engine: Mathematically Preventing Destructive SQL
Why LLM system prompts cannot guarantee database safety, and how compiling natural language to Abstract Syntax Trees guarantees read-only integrity.
Relying solely on LLM prompt instructions like 'Only return SELECT queries' is fundamentally flawed and vulnerable to prompt injection, hallucination, and adversarial input attacks. A single unvetted query execution could drop tables, modify core ledger balances, or leak unauthorized confidential data.
ZeroQueries implements a zero-trust AST compiler that parses every query prior to dispatch. The parser strictly disallows data manipulation commands including INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, DROP, ALTER, and TRUNCATE at the lexical level.
Furthermore, the AST compiler enforces row-level security (RLS) constraints and column-level masking rules dynamically based on the verified caller's SSO identity. If an unauthorized column is referenced, the query is rejected at compile time with a clear, audited explanation.
